This charcoal or briquette starter is ideal for heating charcoal quickly, safely and efficiently. The starter is made of aluminised steel and has a ‘cool touch’ handle. We do advise you to wear heat-resistant gloves.
Take brown firelighters and place about three of them on the charcoal grid of the barbecue. Fill the starter with charcoal or briquettes and place it above the firelighters. Light the firelighters and wait around 15 – 30 minutes until the coals/briquettes have white edges all over. They are then hot enough to pour into the barbecue. Then put the starter away in a safe place.
